Rotary exchange program Bryan Chambers heads to New Zealand

Bryan Chambers of Warren is selected for a Rotary Group Study Exchange trip to New Zealand from February 11 to March 26, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Howland. The five person team from District 665 will observe life and discuss economic social and cultural aspects while traveling in New Zealand. The group is led by Gary Finzer and includes Cliff Evans John Dalsky Andrew Kiel and J. Bruce Anderson. Dr Theodore Opalka directs the local Rotary Foundation international service.

Grant funds inventory of eastern Trumbull historic structures

An $18 000 Ohio Historical Society grant funds a Trumbull County Planning Commission survey to inventory historic structures across eastern Trumbull including Brookfield Fowler Gustavus Hartford Howland Hubbard Johnston Kinsman Liberty Vernon Vienna Weathersfield Township and the cities of Niles Girard Hubbard plus McDonald Orangeville Yankee Lake. County planner Greg Griffith says the study will map age and features of residences churches courthouses mills bridges and more with photos and recorded data. results go to the Ohio Historical Center and local libraries. Work starts February with completion anticipated early fall 1983.

Bandwagon to Publish Self-Defense Series

Bandwagon launches a self-defense series starting next Wednesday with A E Yea of Liberty Township and Judy Kolesar, a top karate champion. The program aims to raise awareness and teach natural weapons and defensive tactics through pictures, with a free public seminar planned later.
