Borden and Scroggins Fire Duel Near Lufkin
At 11 o clock today two miles south of Lufkin on the Homerong Lufkin road Borden and Scroggins exchanged fire. Scroggins shot with a Winchester four times Borden used a shotgun wounding Borden in the right hand and shoulder. Scroggins was not hit. One man in each family had been killed earlier this summer. Scroggins surrendered to Sheriff Mantooth.
