A high pressure system moves over the Gulf States and Texas, bringing cloudy conditions along the coast. Madrid June 14. The Spanish Minister of War said General Anmunti had 2041 men for Manila defense. The foreign minister Duke Almodovar de Rio said no peace steps or third attack on Santiago de Cuba had been confirmed. General Correa claimed Manila defense stronger than expected with Captain General Augrat holding 900 men and long range artillery ready. Canada ordered Senor Du Bose and Lieutenant Carranza to leave after a letter about American fortifications was intercepted.
