Marines Engage Spaniards Near Port Antonio Camp

Dispatches report that Marines and Spanish troops clashed near Crest Velhaht and Guanta, with the outpost retreating before the enemy. A Marine sergeant was killed under cover fire as the Spaniards held positions at night. About 10,000 Spanish troops were said to be in the area. three hundred Marines were expected to reach the camp the next day.
