Fire damages residence on South Ferguson Street

Women soldiers attack U S patrol in Vietnam
Eight female Communist soldiers in full battle gear ambushed a U S infantry patrol in War Zone C north of Saigon. Four North Vietnamese women were killed, none of the American soldiers were injured. The fighters belonged to the 271st Regiment of the 8th North Vietnamese Division.

She Kills Bandit to Save Son in Pittsburgh
In Garf ield, Frances Albrecht 47 confronted two armed youths inside her gro cery shop. She warned them to leave as she grabbed a hidden pistol and fired, killing one bandit and driving the other away. Her son Michael 16 was wounded and died from a head wound at the scene. Frances was unharmed. Police say she used a pistol hidden for 23 years to defend her family.
