Auto Crash at Airport Shelters Two Hurt
A head on collision at 7 45 am near Hope Airport entrance on Highway 4 involved a northbound pickup driven by Headlee Caldwell of Benton and a southbound car driven by Ernest Gene Greenlee. Greenlee sustained a broken leg and a laceration and was hospitalized. Caldwell received skin abrasions and was charged with driving left of center. State trooper Walls Jace Martin investigated.

Revenue Dept Loses Fees Use For Driver Records
LITTLE ROCK AP. Fees collected by the state Revenue Department for furnishing driver records can not be used by the department. Attorney General's office said Wednesday. Revenue Commissioner B. Bryan Arey asked for a ruling that the legislature intended the funds to pay for the Driver's Licensing Bureau operations started in 1965. Assistant Atty. Gen. Ralph G. Brodie said funds go into the Constitutional and Fiscal Agencies fund.

In Arcadia Florida six children were killed by a pesticide poisoning traced to agricultural insecticides. A seventh child survived in serious condition. The victims ranged from ages two to twelve. Authorities said the poison may have been ingested at home or through exposure during the day. The Richardsons, a citrus packing family, had lunch ready the night before and the kitchen was inspected with no insecticide traces found.
