American Michaiah Shobek, 22, was hanged at Her Majesty's Prison Fox Head in Nassau after a capital murder trial. He confessed to killing three tourists, including Irwin Bornstein, and was buried in Old Trail Cemetery. Police restricted access and a small crowd watched as officials described the execution procedure. Shobek had traveled to the islands as a tourist and had exhausted all appeals before his death.
