Luck apologizes for claim on Amendment 4 appraisal

Dr Hl D Luck chairman of the Committee for Voter Registration apologized Saturday for saying Attorney General Bruce Bennett made a grossly inaccurate appraisal of Amendment 4. He wrote to county officials that Bennett did not make such an appraisal of the proposed amendment creating a permanent voter registration system.

River Bridge Reopens On U S 70 Near DeValls Bluff

The Arkansas Highway Department reports the U S 70 White River bridge near DeValls Bluff is back open after a ten day closure caused by a bulldozer blade damaging the superstructure. Traffic previously rerouted via Clarendon resumes normal flow between Little Rock and Memphis.
