Nixon admin concedes in school lunch funding fight

AP reports the Agriculture Department will reimburse states at a minimum average of 45 cents per meal for free or reduced price lunches. Obituary for Rev Andrew W Hamilton of Murfreesboro

Funeral services were held Tuesday for the Rev. Andrew Wilson Hamilton, 82, of Murfreesboro, who died Monday. Burial was in Murfreesboro Cemetery. Native of Hope, he was a minister for 50 years, with four daughters, a brother and a sister among survivors.

Post Office seeks July rate hike amid pay raise clash

A postal official says the Postal Service will request a rate increase effective in July to fund a six percent pay raise for federal workers. The House rejected a veto of Nixon's order by 207 to 174, with Senate action due by Thursday.
