Three Americans Among Deaths In Air Collision

In the Me Kong Delta a light U S and a South Vietnamese helicopter collided near Binh Thuy air base about 80 miles south of Saigon. Initial field reports state three Americans and fourteen Vietnamese were killed and there were no survivors. The Army Beaver had just taken off from the base.

El Dorado Man Charged With Manslaughter Over Jail Death

James Robert Frazier, 27, of El Dorado was charged with manslaughter in the death of Douglas H. Manor, 52, of Norphlet, at the El Dorado city jail. Manor was struck on the head, police said.

Hempstead County Game Warden Bev Waller announced the first season deer take reached 265. The Buck and Doe season starts Thursday and runs through Saturday with no dogs allowed. Navy WAVE Susan A.
