Onion Garnish Is Flowering Mum
Snowy white or delicately hued onion mums make a showy garnish for a buffet table. Use firm Spanish onions. With a sharp knife, cut onion into thin silvers from top to bottom, leaving the stem attached. Place in ice water to open petals. Onion mums may be colored by adding a few drops of food coloring to the water.
