Glover blasts Pryor Arkansas Plan as tax trap
Rep. Bobby Glover of Carlisle criticized Gov. Pryor's Arkansas Plan at the Arkansas Municipal League meeting. He said the plan would deliver 24 million dollars in revenue sharing plus seven million in general funds in the first year, but drop to about 24 million the next year, forcing local governments to raise taxes to break even. He warned the proposal could trigger a statewide fiscal crisis by halting turnback funds to cities and counties.
