Mrs Mae Susan Hirst 89 died Tuesday afternoon in Prescott Hospital where she lived most of her life. Born February 5 1887 in Hempstead County she was a Presbyterian. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Cornish Funeral Home chapel with Rev Bill Massey and Rev Charles Walthall officiating. Burial followed at DeAnn Cemetery under Cornish Funeral Home direction.
John Ellis Hargett age 68 of El Dorado was killed in a head on crash within city limits when he crossed the center line and struck a tractor trailer driven by Harvey Higgenbotham aged 62 state police said Hargett died at the scene in El Dorado Arkansas AP reports
Chancellor Darrell Hickman fixed December 17 as the trial date to challenge the life line electric rate plan.
