Cold front moving rapidly through Arkansas

Execution date set in Forrest City murder case

Circuit Court Judge O H Hargraves set January 23 for the execution of Dewayne Hulsey, 23, of Forrest City, convicted of capital felony murder for the shooting death of John Easley Jr. during an Interstate 40 service station robbery in Earle. About 1,000 people returned home in Lake Charles Louisiana after a three car derailment that included a chlorine tanker. police said no gas leak and the area was secured. By midnight the tanker was back on track and the other cars were to follow. No injuries were reported.
