Memorial services for Steve Carrigan of Hope will be held in the federal court at Texarkana at 10 oclock Monday morning November 15. Carrigan, a prominent lawyer, served as prosecuting attorney of the Eighth judicial district and federal district attorney of the Western district of Arkansas and was Hope city attorney at his death last August. He died in the Lewisville courtroom while trying a case in Lafayette circuit court. A bar committee led by O A Graves prepared the program. other members are Randolph Hamby and Will Steel. The public is invited to the service in the federal courtroom.

He has been overseas since October 1943 and was previously wounded on the Italian front earning the oak leaf cluster. The latest wound affected his left leg above the knee.
