Pryor plan shifts funds to Little Rock districts
The plan would reduce Pryor funding by 256000 and resize district budgets. North Little Rock and Pulaski County would receive smaller increases than now, while Little Rock would gain about 25000 more than the current formula. Western and northern districts would benefit from rising enrollments. In 1840 the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery became the first dental college in the world.

Rising share of new voters identify as independents
The Conference Board reports a rising trend in new voters labeling themselves independent from 26 percent in 1952 to 34 percent in 1960 and 50 percent in 1972. Since party identification forms early, many younger independents may keep the label throughout their voting lives.
