In Jackson Mississippi a 21 year old contractor's helper named Jimmy Ralph Long confessed to strangling his wife after she warned that things could never be the same. He later tried suicide by slashing wrists and placing his heart near a stove with gas on. Police say a landlady alerted them to a disturbance at his apartment.
