He has not played quarterback since a dislocated left shoulder in Cincinnati's second game, a 20-17 loss to Green Bay. Bengals have dropped six straight. Coach Paul Brown plans Carter as a key change to end the skid. Dr. Wallace Timperman says Carter is very able to play. Carter left injured list Saturday and played two plays Sunday in a 104 loss to Houston to hold for field goals.

Judgement Set Aside in Ali Case in Houston
A Texas district court voided a $100,000 default judgment against former heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali. Judge Blanton denied a similar move for co defendant Andre Cameron. Miss Alvanita Delodge sued Ali and Cameron for $400,000 after an incident at a Houston hotel last July. She suffered a three inch cut over her eye and was treated at a hospital. A new trial for Cameron was ordered next year as Blanton found Cameron not acting as Ali’s employee. The ruling left unresolved whether Ali was liable for the actions of Cameron. In a separate note, Eastern Baseball League owners approved transfer of the filmira N franchise to new operators aligned with the Cleveland Indians.
