Direct dialing to Mexico City begins in Hope

Hope residents will gain direct access to Mexico City starting Sunday November 7 as Southwestern Bell expands international dialing. Mexico City will be the only Mexican city dialable directly initially, with other Mexican cities added later. Calls will use the 1-905-546-3168 pattern with a Mexico City number, and dialing to Mexico City directory assistance remains unavailable.

Closed For Selling Liquor To Minors In Conway County

The Arkansas ABC director ordered the temporary closure of 140 Liquor Store and Rossi Liquors, Inc. for 30 days starting Saturday with 15 days in abeyance, and six months probation. Attorney David Stewart said an appeal would go to the full ABC board. Sheriff Marlin Hawkins vowed continued enforcement.
