Alleged illegal campaign contributions tied to dairy coop legal fees
Former Associated Milk Producers Inc lawyer Joseph A. Rose Jr. claims the dairy cooperative used part of a $384,000 legal bill to fund political contributions via Oklahoma City lawyer Stuart Russell and staffer Robert Lilly. Investigators from the Senate Watergate committee, FBI, IRS and GAO probe the scheme and potential misused funds. Rose testified in a Kansas City suit noting some money went to Lilly for political purposes and that IRS tracing raised red flags.
