Postal Service plans 3 cent first class rate rise and 5 day deliveries

Postmaster General Bailor says the Postal Service will act within 60 days to raise first class rates from 13 to 15 cents or 16 with six day delivery and will cut deliveries to five days a week. Blackout Blamed On Faulty Relay Switch Across South Florida

A faulty 50 relay switch caused a seven hour blackout affecting nearly three million people across 15 000 square miles in south Florida. Nuclear and oil plants tripped, banks and pumps failed, and emergency generators kicked in as Miami area life paused with no gas, money or power. Pan Am heliport disaster leaves six dead in Midtown
