The Associated Press reports scattered showers and thunderstorms likely today mainly in the eastern and north portions as a cold front approaches from the west. Numerous showers are forecast tonight across the northern half of the state with possible thunder.
Extended forecast shows southerly flow with no precipitation noted. Wednesday will be cooler with high temperatures mainly in the 70s. Monday highs in the 80s to 92 in the southeast. overnight lows mid 50s north to low 60s south with Pine Bluff 57 and El Dorado 69 among reported readings.

Severe storms swept the Midwest after a widespread tornado outbreak. Tornado touched down at a Hutchinson mobile home park injuring several. three homes destroyed. Snow fell in Montana North Dakota and Minnesota with roads blocked and power lines down.
State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co will lower auto insurance rates in Arkansas by five percent on July 1. The Arkansas Insurance Commissioner said he would accept the reduction instead of the 15 percent cut he had ordered, after an appeal was dismissed. State Farm writes more auto insurance in Arkansas than any other company. Ark Monroe ITI said the agreement was reached Friday but announced Monday.
