Factional Fight Over Arkansas Young Democrats Presidency
Sam H. Boyce, 33, and Sheffield Nelson, 24, both claim to be state Young Democrats Club president. Boyce says a certifying letter signed by state Democratic Chairman Leon Catlett and national committeeman Tom Harper was sent to the Young Democratic Clubs National Committee in Washington. The national body must seat either Boyce or Nelson, and Boyce intends to seek a party letter certifying him for the panel to settle the dispute.
