Wildlife group seeks limits on deer hunting weapons
The Arkansas Wildlife Federation urged the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission to ban small caliber rifles small gauge shotguns and shots smaller than buckshot in deer hunting. It says smaller weapons wound deer without instant kill and that deer die later. Dr A Drennan of Stuttgart was elected federation president succeeding Jay Myers of Walnut Ridge.

Wallace Roerich Saga Darkens 1940 Nomination Backstory
A critical review of Henry Wallace and his ties to Nicholas Roerich, alleging Roosevelt pressured the 1940 Democratic Convention to name Wallace as successor. The piece links Roerich’s activities to state and federal records, noting litigation and political maneuvering, with emphasis on perceived deception and the broader historical impact. Frances Perkins and James Byrnes are cited regarding Roosevelt’s supposed confidences. The article suggests a covert chain of influence involving Roerich's court in Manchukuo and related diplomacy, arguing for accountability in the nomination history.
