Rufus V. Herndon III, son of Mr and Mrs Rufus Herndon Jr, was badly shaken and bruised after being struck by a vehicle driven by Silas Sanford in an alley by his home. He was examined at Josephine Hospital then returned home. injuries not believed serious.
