Chancellor Guy E. Williams died at his home in Little Rock on Thursday at age 73. A doctor said he apparently suffered a heart attack. Williams led the Second Division of the 1st Chancery District covering Pulaski, Prairie, Lonoke and White counties after a prior illness in April.

Trout Fisherman Is Drowned in Arkansas River
Joseph J. Lee 49 of Belleville Illinois drowned Wednesday while trout fishing in the White River eleven miles southeast of Mountain Home Arkansas. Sheriff Emmet Edwards said Lee, his wife, and John DaCosse were in a boat that capsized in swift current. Lee's wife and DaCosse escaped unharmed.

Heart Attack Fatal to Texan on Ouachita River
Herbert A. Garner 55 of Irving Texas died on a fishing trip on the Ouachita River five miles north of Arkadelphia. Clark County Coroner W Ruggles ruled the death a heart attack after Garner and his wife were on the river bank to eat lunch and Garner went to retrieve their drifting boat.

Coastal Strip Seized by U S Marines in Viet Nam Landing
