Labor leaders won a legal challenge to President Nixon's wage stabilization plan but pledge to comply with the law. AFL-CIO Building and Construction Trades chief C.J. Haggerty said the 17 craft unions will use all legal power to fight the plan for more equity while continuing court action.
Senate critic William Proxmire questions NASA plans for a 100 million four-year STOL program to back a small short take off and landing plane. NASA administrator George Low defends, saying only an experimental plane to test technology will be pursued. He is survived by wife Lorena, daughter Lee Carter and son Gene West. Glenn W Calhoun 61 of Hope died at home Wednesday. Retired bus driver he is survived by wife Thelma, daughter James E Pearson, son Glenn W Calhoun Jr, parents J A and Mrs Calhoun, brother Clarence, sister Mrs Tom Bobo Jr. Services Friday at 2 p.m. at Herndon Funeral Chapel with burial in Memory Gardens.
