Garrison at Oudong evacuations begin after siege

Cambodian diplomats report the Oudong garrison and civilians are fleeing the Tep Pranam Pagoda after a direct hit destroyed ammunition supplies. About 360 of roughly 600 soldiers and over 1,000 civilians moved toward government lines a half mile east of Oudong, near Phnom Penh.

Escapees Recaptured After Illinois Gas Station Robbery

Two men William Wolf and Mike Stephens, who escaped from Chicot County Jail in Arkansas, were captured in Edwardsville Illinois after allegedly robbing a Lebanon gas station of about 307 dollars. The pistol used matched one taken from jailer William Pete. The suspects were in the jailer's car during capture to negotiate their daughter's release.
