During National 4-H Week Centerville 4-H Club met with a St Patrick's Day dessert and coffee for 14 members including new member Mrs Herbert Rogers. Brenda Underwood Carolyn Beck and Linda Ray gave a 15 minute history program, then 4-H Jamboree performers sang and played piano. The club won a pair of registered Hampshire pigs from Linda Farm.

Faubus Budget Talks Highlighted by Welfare Rise and Highway Funds
The report covers legislative debate from December through adjournment. Faubus proposed boosting welfare to 85 dollars monthly, reorganizing state agencies, and a judicial study commission while seeking a 1964 ballot city county tax amendment. City and county grants to highway funds failed. a state aid for county roads bill died, and police funding remained a concern.
