The Supreme Court unanimously invalidates a Louisiana requirement for voter registration that demanded a reasonable interpretation of state or federal constitutions. Justice Hugo L. Black states the Baton Rouge district court was justified in finding the test deprived Louisiana Negroes of the right to vote.
The annual Governor's Prayer Breakfast in Little Rock will host principal speaker Rep. G. Elliott Hagan of Georgia on Tuesday, highlighting the state version of the Presidential Prayer Breakfast.

Mr and Mrs Dean Murphy will host Miss Arkansas on arrival April 17 for the Miss Hope pageant. A city tour and press interview begin at 10 a.m. followed by a noon Town and Country luncheon. The parade starts at 2 30 p.m. with Miss Arkansas featured, and a 3 30 to 4 30 p.m. reception at Hope Country Club open to the public.
Mrs Minnie M Tipsworth 55 of Van Buren died after a two car crash four miles north of Van Buren on Arkansas 59. Robert Tipsworth 17 was the driver of a vehicle making a U turn into the highway. Billy Jones of Cedarville drove the other car.
