38 Die as Lake Central Airliner Crashes in Ohio

Roy Lee Baker IMI 18 of Harrison Arkansas and three Hedley Texas residents died in a two car head-on collision four miles east of Whitesboro on US 82. Also killed were M W Spier 65 his son Maj Jerald M Spier 34 and Jeralds wife Frances Spier 35 all of Hedley. Baker was a former Harrison High School athlete and Austin College freshman. He was the son of Roy Lee Baker Jr., a former Arkansas official.

Citizens Band Meet At Fair Park Draws 163 Attendees
About 163 people from 20 communities in Arkansas Louisiana and Texas gathered at the Coliseum in Fair Park Friday night for a Citizens Band Club fellowship supper.
