Acid attack suspect sought after string of assaults
Police in Seaford New York hunt an acid sprayer described as a man with a two tone brown getaway car. Six teen girls targeted along Sunrise Highway over a month from Massapequa Wantagh to West Babylon with no serious burns reported. Obituaries Dennis Denk Kispin Richards Dies in Dallas at 60
Dennis Denk Kispin Richards, 60, son of the late Robert L. and Lilla Ham Richards of Hope, died June 10 at his Dallas home after a lengthy illness. A 1933 Hope High School graduate, he earned the Golden Football in senior year for playing football after his hunting accident. He moved to Dallas in 1947, worked 18 years at East Texas Motor Freight, retiring as traffic manager of rates and tariffs. Surviving: wife Jane, son Bob Richards of Dallas, daughter Patricia Jones of Lubbock, granddaughter Hallie, grandson Eric, brother Jack Richards of Connecticut, sisters Vera Rodgers, Lalia Pickard of DeQueen Ark., Goldie Dempses of Kansas, plus nieces and nephews.

Ivy Baker Priest, who served as the second woman U S treasurer from 1953 to 1961, died of cancer at 69 in Santa Monica California. Born in Utah, she later became California state treasurer in 1966 and was re elected in 1970. She advocated reduced government spending and modernized state bond sales.
