Submarines Sink 16 More Japanese Vessels
Washington reports 16 enemy ships sunk by U S submarines in fresh naval communique No 527. The tally adds to a month total of 50 ships sunk by submarines, with the ongoing effort concentrated near Japanese shores and supply routes in the Pacific and Far East. The new bag includes eleven medium cargo vessels two small cargo ships one medium naval auxiliary and one more auxiliary.
