New York Cotton Futures Fall After Truman Price Control Plea
Cotton futures dropped about 2.50 per bale as President Truman urged continuation of price controls in veto of the Case bill. Oct to May futures show wide daily ranges, with spot middling around 29.41 and various price lines ending lower. Grain and provisions section notes no cash sales of wheat corn or oats and quoted prices for selected grains and oats.
