Three arrested in slaying of abducted jeweler and wife
Madison West Virginia police announced the arrest of Clifford C Caudill and two others in connection with the abduction and murder of Aubrey Hawkins and his wife Alberta Hawkins. The couple disappeared after a jewelry store theft and were found shot in Campbell County Tennessee. Investigators say a total of $176000 in cash watches and jewels were stolen. Caudill faces extradition proceedings in Dallas Texas to face charges in West Virginia while the other two suspects face abduction and armed robbery charges in West Virginia.
