Peace Corps Teacher Lives In Wone Ponape Mission Village
Kathrin Fitch, a Peace Corps volunteer from Bakersfield California, teaches first and second grades in Wone Elementary School on Ponape in Micronesia. She arrived in November 1966 after training, faces isolation and a dangerous jungle encounter, and travels quarterly to Kolonia for Peace Corps checks.
