Lowell Orson Harris M D of the Hope area has completed continuing education requirements to retain active membership in the American Academy of Family Physicians. The academy requires a minimum of 150 hours of accredited continuing medical study every three years and eligibility for re election at the end of the third year. The AAFP, founded in 1947 and based in Kansas City, was instrumental in creating the family practice specialty in 1969.
