The Fourth of July in Arkansas will be warm and humid with a chance of scattered thundershowers. The National Weather Service lists a 20 percent statewide chance of rain Friday and a 40 percent chance in the southwest today, with additional rain chances across the state.

About 600 union members at three Memphis hospitals approved a strike after city and hospital officials failed to reach a new contract.
