Six kidnapped and three cars stolen in Monroe Louisiana linked to three gunmen who abducted C C Lewis Oscar Athoff and a third man at DeQueen Arkansas. A Ford sedan left in Hope was claimed by Fred Culver of Monroe. One suspect arrested confessed to the Hope kidnapping. Victims to be taken to Benton Arkansas for identification.

Nashville Man Dies in Rabbit Hunt Accident

Charles S. Holt, 60, a well known Nashville resident and Weatherby Brunner Coffee Company figure, was shot and killed while rabbit hunting near Nashville Friday night when a student in his Sunday school class fell from a truck and discharged a gun Holt was illuminating with a light. He leaves a daughter, two sons, four brothers and four sisters. Funeral plans were pending Saturday.
