Boy Scout 12 Rescues Baby From Air Vent Turret

Toronto reports a 12 year old Boy Scout Bunny Ricketts rescued infant David Bond from an air vent leading to a hot air furnace. The mother phoned the fire department as the boy disassembled the vent and pulled out the soot covered baby. He said he had prior practice removing toys from vents and was prepared for the emergency.

Paris Ark Theater Fire Destroys Brick Logan Building

A January fire of undetermined origin destroyed the Brick Logan theater building in Paris Arkansas. Fire crews from the city and volunteers fought the blaze for about two hours before it was controlled. The theater housed an apartment occupied by Theater Manager H C Williams and his wife, with damage estimated at substantial levels.

Reuther Seeks $100 Monthly Pension for Auto Workers
