Three Evening Courses Planned for Hope Residents

Henderson State College will offer three undergraduate credit courses this semester in Hope. The Humanities Methods and Materials in Elementary Physical Education and Economics for Elementary Teachers require 15 or more enrollments. Interested residents should contact Mrs. Catherine Beck and attend an organizational meeting on Thursday Jan. 24 at 6 30 p.m. in the Brookwood School Cafeteria. Fee per course is 48 dollars.

Governor cites rural health crisis and urban medical bias

The governor warned that Arkansas cannot endure a system where urban residents access sophisticated medical care while rural areas lack services. He contended medical education is urban centered in Little Rock and urged reform so graduates serve the broader state rather than 10 or 12 urban areas.
