Two Unoccupied Homes Damaged in Thursday Fires
Two unoccupied houses suffered fire damage in separate Thursday incidents. At 1:15 a.m. on North Walnut Street, damage was about 300 dollars to a house owned by Mrs. F. T. Taylor. At 4:40 a.m. on South Hazel Street, the L. A. Foster estate owned the second house with about 500 dollars in damage. Firemen extinguished both blazes quickly. cause undetermined.

A mid winter tornado struck Dudley, eighteen miles east of Poplar Bluff, at 12 30 am Thursday, severely damaging several dwellings as it moved northeastward. No injuries were reported. A smaller tornado damaged buildings in Salem, Missouri, Wednesday night.
