An Associated Press weather outlook notes Judy will see warmer conditions with dry spells returning to Arkansas. The National Weather Service expects no measurable precipitation through Saturday despite some drizzle and considerable fog in places.
Arkansas weather today will be mostly cloudy with a warming trend continuing through Wednesday. Highs reach the upper 40s to upper 50s today, mid 50s to mid 60s Wednesday, with nightly lows from the 30s to mid 40s and temperatures reported across Pine Bluff El Dorado Texarkana Fayetteville Harrison Jonesboro Memphis Little Rock and Fort Smith. Rainfall totals over the 24 hours ending 7 am include Pine Bluff 0.06 El Dorado 0.09 Texarkana 0.13 Fayetteville trace Jonesboro 0.05 Memphis 0.19 Little Rock 0.04. Experiment station shows Tuesday high 47 low 38 with 0.06 inches rain.

The 69th General Assembly adjourned in Little Rock after the House urged the University of Arkansas to remove history professor Grant Cooper who claims Communist ties. The House passed a measure 75 to 3 to push U A trustees to fire Cooper immediately if state law or his contract is breached.
The Women's Educational Recreational League of Tollette Arkansas unanimously adopted a resolution to rename the organization the E V Coulter Women's Educational Recreational League in memory of founder Mrs. Elrette Coulter. The note highlights her teaching career from 1939 to 1973 and leadership in church and community service.
Rumors circulate that Arkansas Power & Light may ask the Public Service Commission for a general rate increase. AP&L officials decline to comment while noting that reduced consumption could be a minor factor but not a guarantee of lower bills.
