The Associated Press reports Arkansas will swap precipitation for colder conditions tonight and Saturday as light rain in the southeast gives way to a cold northerly wind.

Funeral services for Mrs. W C Foster of Lewisville Ark were held in Smith Funeral Home chapel with burial in Mount Nebo Cemetery. She died in Arlington Texas after an auto crash leaving a husband two children and multiple relatives. The Rev. Emmanuel N. Glover died Wednesday at his home after a lengthy illness. He was a lifetime Hempstead County resident, a retired teacher and Baptist minister. Survivors include wife Evelyn, daughter Maude Esther Witherspoon, and three grandchildren. Funeral 2 p.m. Friday at Lonoke Baptist Church, Rev. L Bennie Beard Jr. officiating. Burial in Cave Hill Cemetery, Hicks Funeral Home directing.
Washington based analysis shows rising middleman costs, not farm prices, largely drove bread price increases since last year. A one pound loaf averaged 24.5 cents in July 1972 and 31.5 cents last November, with farm ingredient costs up 2.7 cents and middleman margins adding 4.3 cents. Bakers warn prices could climb further if wheat exports curb shipments. officials expect enough wheat to flour needs through June.

Replacement cows good/choice 700-1000 lb cows 37.50 to 42.50 per cwt. Cow-calf pairs 3-7 year old cows with 75-150 lb calves at side 375.00 to 460.00 per pair.
