A three story brick dwelling fire in Baltimore early Tuesday claimed five lives from one family. The dead are Cecil Hewitt age 53 his wife Maude Hewitt 45 their son Cecil Hewitt Jr 20 daughter Evelyn 16 and sister in law Corinda Bowen 25.
Mrs. Jennie Hanegan, hospitalized at Julia Chester hospital after an automobile accident last Friday afternoon, was reported somewhat improved at noon Tuesday. The accident occurred at Sixth and Pine streets as she attempted to drive alone, with the car a birthday gift from C. N. Black of Shreveport.
