Burgher Jones Dies at 34 in Texas Hospital
Burgher Jones 34 world war veteran and Hope resident died suddenly at 10 45 am Saturday in a government hospital at Legion Texas. He is survived by his widow a son Coelson and daughter Lynda of Hope his parents Mr and Mrs Elmer S Jones and four brothers and five sisters. Funeral plans not announced and the body is to arrive in Hope from Texas on Sunday.

Wrecking of four story Montgomery Ward building planned
The burned Montgomery Ward building on East Second Street will be demolished starting Saturday weather permitting. John W.
