Brazilian Plane Hijacked Lands in Lima for Fuel

Funeral for Ashley County Sheriff Courson Held in Hamburg

Funeral services were held today in Hamburg for Ashley County Sheriff B. A. Courson 50 killed in a late night automobile accident on Arkansas 82 north of Hamburg. Witnesses said he chased a red car at high speed before his car left the road and struck a tree. Courson had served as sheriff since 1947 and was a World War I veteran with time in a Japanese concentration camp and the Bataan Death March survivors include his mother brothers and six sisters.

End of Cease-Fire in Vietnam Border Battles Reported

U S forces kept ground and air patrols during a 24 hour allied cease fire that ended at 6 p m Saigon time. Vietnam and allied reports describe attacks on ground forces and civilian casualties, with 116 enemy efforts and 183 total casualties among both sides. US Bomber raids near Cambodia continued after the truce ended. The cease-fire collapse preceded by small clashes near the border and in War Zone C. President Thieu and American officials affirmed continuing policies toward peace.
