AHAC will supply factory built baths with loans as low as 1 percent through the Farmers Home Administration, payable over 10 to 15 years. Basic repairs like roofing or wells are also offered using local labor.
The Arkansas Senate approved a revised criminal code in a 33 to 1 vote and sent it to Gov. Pryor. They also backed raising the state minimum wage from 1.40 to 1.70 effective July 1, 1975, then to 1.90 on January 1, 1976 and 2.00 on January 1, 1977, with farm workers excluded. The House passed a bill easing annexation of adjacent territory by cities, amid a heated debate.
Arkansas January egg production fell one percent from January 1974, with hens laying 305 million eggs. Broiler breeder flocks produced 69 million eggs, down one percent, and other flocks yielded 236 million, also down one percent, per the Arkansas Crop and Livestock Reporting Service.
