A car struck a Black girl in Harleth on Wednesday afternoon. The driver, described as Negra, carried the victim toward a hospital and fled, leaving behind what witnesses believed to be a rag doll. In Washington Heights later, discovery of the body under a parked car confirmed the victim as Robbin Joyner.
John F. Wells of Little Rock says he notified Rep. Dale Alford he will oppose any move to seek another term as Democrat. Wells cites Alford’s write in campaign against Brooks Hays and asks Alford to state his official intention for the forthcoming nominating process.
