Vietnamese Students Tour U.S. for Study

A group of 100 Vietnamese students including 35 veterans boarded a trip to the United States for a 12 week observation tour of American and Formosan elementary schools. Twelve teachers and officials accompany them to oversee the program funded by the U S Agency for International Development. Students, aged 17 to 32, were chosen from over 1,200 applicants and will complete a six month English course in California before attending universities across the United States.
